hey everyone i need your help i am entering a poem into a college contest for the best high school poerty and i was wondering if you could help me out and tell me which one you think i should enter
thanks here they are

1.
So much pain hidden within
So much anger waiting to be released
Why do these things hurt so badly
All i ever wanted was to be free
But yet something kept me from going
I want to know why it’s me
What have i done wrong
I feel the pain inside taking over
But one light comes through to break the pain
Family is the one thing worth while
Family is what breaks the pain
My family there when i need them
Now i can finally see an end to the pain
I feel the spirit within lifting
The pain is going, but yet always stays
Stays dormant in my mind, soul, and heart
But its ok i feel the need to move on
And finally
It has been broken the curse of Life

2.
People always say they will change
But when does it really happen?
People want to change the way they went through high school
But they are never wise enough to figure this out when in high school
People on always want to change their lives
Sitting on their death bed thinking about what they would have done different
Why should we think about what we could have done different?
Why not just do it differently?
Why not sit on our death bed and say: I have lived a good life
People don’t now what life is anymore
They loose every meaning in life
Just sit back and change your life, just live and don’t get so caught up in problems
Don’t look for the easy way out
Look at the simpler things in life and enjoy them
Sit on your death bed and say: It’s time for me to go.

just put down 1 or 2
thanks

hmmm...I would definitly have to go with 2, I wasn't feeling the first one to much but the second one got to me, excpecailly the last line, well done.

Because of you I laugh a little harder, smile a little more, and cry a little less

I'd have to say 2 as well.   College holding a high school poetry contest, hmm.. It wouldn't happen to be for a 24th annual one at Rider University in Lawrenceville New Jersey, would it? That's the one I just entered

If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi
