an everyday's yesterday understanding

if i could lift my legs to breathe again,
my strength would be greater than i ever thought.
never wanting to bleed from my joints again,
my wrists burn from these healing scars.
i'll keeo the lid on this lost bowl of who-knows-what,
and hide my bottle of unopened feelings under my bed with the other dirty secrets.
what is it that you expect of this shallow cut?
i'm trying the hardest i can to squeeze out more      .
living like this creates friends among us loners,
we're kept dying out along the outer limits,
understanding all because of our perspective, eyes' owners,
waiting, watching ourselves fall apart in secret, secretions.
i'll break away from even the lonliest of the lonely,
bury myself in all i do, the everyday distractions.
you say i'm not looking too good and acting so strangely,
i'm glad you finally noticed that all this time i was being crucified.
my breath is escaping quickly as a prisoner to its saviours,
running with all its might just to be free.
and this is what living like this does: it ends our labors,
makes us face our facts, face the truth of and inside ourselves.

and this is what rises in our      ,
and this is what mixes to make mud,
and this is what dying like this does,
and this is what living like this does.

now im alone, but not lonely like before

and the thought arises again and again and again.  no reason, just uprooting itself at all times.
