Be Careful What You Wish For

Recalling the time I wished for love...
Every night I talked to the gods above.
When I found love for the first time, I was enchanted.
Thankful to him, that all my wishes had been granted.
Then love crumbled, shattered to pieces...
From my heart, all good memories releases.
Preparing to move on, and keep trying...
Seemed like the same song, felt like I was dying.
But then new friends came, and I renewed the old...
And to many friends, my heart was sold.
But then I found this love, so true...
Feeling like gold all the time, so new.
Then more love came, from every direction.
My heart now separated into different selections.
I know I love him, but regret letting the others go.
Afraid that for the others, I can't let my love show.
Now overpowered with love, I can't stay on top.
I love him and without him, my heart would stop.
But all outside forces, I can't keep from my door...
I guess I should be careful of what I wish for.
