Why are the shards so eager to attach to my skin?
To make me bleed, then rub it in.
Red canvas,
I'm for sale.
Wet you palet.
Yes it lingers, long after dark.
I'll race you to the spot where the sun meets the stars.
We'll linger knee deep in the dew of this kiss.
Fragile, far beyond what you would expect.

Morning falls hard upon your eyes,
promoting a flicker,
tempting your foilage to catch flame.
But you turn your back and beg the moon for a second chance.

You looked in the mirror and I took a picture.
So I could know how you saw yourself.

Cotton canvas, gentle strokes.
Tommorow kisses yesterday in secret.
Today is born through sin.
But isn't everything...
Isn't everything broken?

I really liked this piece.  For some reason as I'm scrolling through the page... this title just jumped out at me.  And well it just happened to be an awesome piece.  I loved it!! Thanks for posting!
