Found a book of poems by Tim Burton (sleepy hollow, nightmare before christmas) and it has inspired me to right these.

An orchard where the sun rises and shines

and black apples grow on black vines.

We'll walk the rows with black baskets

and eat black apples to avoid black caskets.

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away,

i'll eat black apples.

Under the lamp that glows red light

and makes all we see a terrible fright

and when you look at it you'd wish you'd die

because all of your pictures still have red-eye

------------------------------------------------

Out of the void a sound is heard

a whistling, thiseling, shiny pipe.

And when it's blown you can't hear a thing

not a note nor a word, not even a ting.

The sound it makes is no sound at all

when wind passes through it, things become mute

but the strangest thing about the pipes call

is that the song i don't hear is really quite cute.
