"a shadow of light"

i am a shadow in your darkness
i your world where there is only you
where you have locked yourself away in solitude
a shadow kept alive by your ever fading light
the light of your true self
of your heart
always there
even when you cant see me
even when you are overwhelmed by your darkness
i will be there
for i can never truely die
when you once again find your heart
i wil be there
always waiting for you
and when the darkness fades
when you release yourself from this prison
you will find me there
in the world outside your heart
we will meet once again in the light
nolonger a shadow
but always beside you
even if it returns
then i will again become a shadow
that i may be by your side
