Days are dreary nights are cold,
reach out for something left to hold,
stained glass windows pure and pale,
devoid of feeling as I exhale.

The silent line no longer hurts,
since daylight grayed a final verse,
to speak to tell to sing aloud,
beyond the memories never found.

A final breath before the plunge,
we open up our hearts and lungs,
while flowing ever gracefully,
beyond the desert to the sea.

I slowly sink beneath the waves,
take comfort in a watery grave,
and warming smiles that I have found,
lay broken here beneath the ground.

Thanks for your share - very moving.  I really enjoyed reading your poem - read it a few times...

It flows very well with great imagery, especially in the last two stanzas.
