I sit here trying to put my thoughts together
I don't know what to do without you
However I never really had you

I only had you but for a moment
I spent my whole life searching for you
Then I lost you so quickly

What little girl deserves not to have a father?
I still wanted to know you
Despite you never even wanted me
I might have taken me twenty years to find you
But I did

I didn't find my father
I found a broken, sick, disabled man
You couldn't even speak to me
I didn't know if you could even understand me
I could hardly deal with that
Then this year I lost you

So did I find you?
I found your physical body
But I never found a father
I never will
You have now left this earth
And I will never know
If you ever could have loved me

So I sit here just a little girl
Lost still without my father
