Another turbulent sunrise
   piercing the dark shades
cutting through my eyelids
    like red hot daggers thrown from the sky
as restlessness grips my body
        hurdling my mindcloser to the edge
                              of pure insanity
Mistakes and missed opportunities rage
           my heart cries out in agony
                         from the hole in my chest
as seconds click past
             turning minutes into endless hours
careening
     through the places in the corners of my soul
                          hidden places
where light still lives               however faintly
  love    desire    ambition      hope
                    all hidden here
long forgotten                       long ignored
                    struggling
to resurface
               making a valiant stand
at the palisades        of lunacy
        to retain the remainder of my humanity
Aided by only one
                     My catalyst(Her)
