between space and time

The eyes flicker
  changed by distrust
from a history of mistreated pain
Enraged hornets of emotion horde forward in a blackened tidal wave
               of despair
Darkness reigns this wasteland
    these empty soulless shells
The complacent faces of the faithless
       staring lifeless
surrendered
Unwilling
to rise above the debris of their sordid pasts
Afraid
to push life to the edges of the world and ride it until it's left breathless
Forsaken
left to spiral downward endlessly gasping for air
reaching for nothings in the water as their inability to act crushes them
sinking deeper         to their own oblivion

"And behold, a pale horse, and the man who sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him." - Revelations

Emotion at its finest.

The hollow emptiness, the crazed thoughts left to survive
