I loved you because you hated me
I opened myself to you, gave you
power over me and in return
you pollinated my life with purpose.

I drove my dagger into you
for the last time felt the life
drain from you, heard you breathe
your last, knew what I'd achieved.

Now I feel only emptiness
loneliness at my lost enemy
hope gushing from me
muddying the ground
