it was the flu that done it
when I was stuck at home
instead of out there with you
the night when hell came true
I sent txt saying I was sick
I couldn't party that night
the night when I was sick in bed
was the night you lost your lives
it's a cruel turn of fate that I'm still here
standing by your graves
instead of buried by your sides
If I hadn't of come down with the flu
I would of been out out with you
I should of been with my mates
when tragedy took hold
I should of been the one walking up front
the night he opened fire
I should of fallen with the rest of you
the night seven of my mates died
I'm the sinner you all where saints
but only innocent young lives where taken
the youngest just turned sixteen
I should of been the one to die
because you all deserve to be alive

I don't care if you think I'm a fool but don't ever tell me so

Yeah i know how you feel dude.. Don't let the guilt get the best of you.. It wasn't your fault you got the flu.. things just happen at the wrong time and i would be devesdated if you had gone along with them.. (idk if this acctually happen to you or this is just a story.. so yeah just in case of either or) This is a really good poem. i love reading your stuff.. so emotional and discriptive..

I love poems like these, yet I hate them. There is so much emotion in this. Memories are probably the worst thing that exist, I understand that to clearly, but remember that we don't just have bad ones. I understand how you feel, and I hope that it will pass. Great poem.

thanks guys for your comments. yea this is a true story, it happened a few months ago but the trial is on atm so yea. thanks again
