A cold kiss A frightened heart I loved you from the very start, You took it by force I was not ready And you have never been quite steady. I have been hurt before- It was someone like you They had said that they loved me, too And you know what? I wished it were true I wished it were true, and it makes me ashamed A girl like me doesn't fit with a guy like you. So I will keep myself away I don't want to be hurt again anyways Your face will always be with me The perfect smile and beautiful eyes I couldn't forget them if I tried Here is where I say goodbye Won't see you again- It would hurt way too much There for one day And gone on the morrow Gone from each day, my life, forever Not even in death will we be together So just for one moment, Just this one night I close my eyes And slip into oblivion, To dream of you, I close my eyes And sleep.
