I stare into the mirror and wonder who it is I see
Who is this familiar face? Is it a stranger? Or maybe me
An empty smile, an obvious mask covering his face
I stare into his eyes; his eyes hold no passion, no grace
Who is this heartless fiend, this imitation of creation?
Why must he hide himself so? I turn in frustration
His eyes reveal pain, is it truly etched that deep?
What lies behind that pain? That is the truth I seek
Surely he has happiness behind those walls of pain?
I cannot bare to face him anymore, his gaze I can’t maintain
I know now that the reflection in the mirror is me
I realize now, that there is nothing left of who I used to be

you watched me bleed you watched me die you watched me not even a bat of your eye

This is really deep...and just when it got deep, you decided to suprise the audience and go even deeper...the length is great and the cut off is good. It left me wondering about you, who you really are deep inside. Beautifully done.

I haven't been on here in forever...and i must say Sir_Vampire you're still by far one of my favorite poets on here
