With the suns first morning light
My heart is a flutter, ever so slight

On the breeze a scent Is carried, amidst the dew
This scent I know, so crisp so warm, the scent of you

I close my eyes to take it remember this feeling
The embrace of the breeze, to whisper your name is so appealing

I part my lips to utter the words close to my heart
For that is where you lie even though we drift apart

I whisper your name barely louder than the wind
And slowly open my eyes, yet the tears in my eyes hold me blind

I close my eyes again an whisper your name yet again
And my heart beats still, waiting for a reply… waiting in vain

The wind dies away and my mind goes astray
Yet another sunset alone, yet I again am alone this day

My mind doubts that which has just taken a hold of me
But my hearts knows with each beat it whispers your name

I live in hope that this will not be just a thought, a dream
I live in hoping this won’t be an illusion any longer than it seems

you watched me bleed you watched me die you watched me not even a bat of your eye
