Trapped inside my head, is the real me wanting out,
Trapped inside my heart, is what I’m all about.
Held captive by my choices, the inner me sits in wait,
No freedom from the voices,  no running from my fate.

So close I come to the surface, at times, I feel the walls begin to shake.
But built with memories as strong as mortar, the walls they never break.
Running doesn’t help; you see there’s nowhere you can hide.
You can’t escape the torment, when your problem lies inside.

Depression sometimes enters, but the sadness is always there,
Happiness comes, but gets quickly shadowed by the bitter grip of fear.
Intimidation rears its ugly head and all you want to do is hide.
You forget the promise of tomorrow when today’s darkness is in your eyes.

If there’s escape I cannot see it. If there’s release why can’t I feel it?
If there’s a brighter tomorrow just around the bend
why can’t I reach out my hand and take hold of it then?

There’s no answers for me…………..…only questions.

I reckon, as I count my woes, they're 'bout what everybody knows.

So this one is obviously more structured... has great flow. It's completely different than your other ones. But one common thread to them all is that there is an intensity behind each word you use. I love that.

Our scars are the foundation for what we have become
