Heaviness is settling upon my soul
As I realize that I am still alone.
Look around at an empty home
Wondering if this will be my tomb.

I lay the bricks with bleeding hands
To keep them out of my darkened land.
Look around and still I see
There is no way out... nowhere to flee.

Another layer of morter upon the bricks
As I try in vain to keep them from getting in.
Looking inside and all I see
Is a little girl watching... unable to scream.

Turrets around me... to the sky, to the moon
The sides are so even and dangerously smooth.
Carefully built with these bleeding fingers
And still I sit here... and still terror lingers...

To build a wall that not even you can escape.

I loved it.

In fact I could relate to it quite well.
