Shaving was so difficult at first.
At night in the shower
with the lights turned off.
After a while you unconsciously begin to map
the contours of your own face.

In the mornings i comb my hair
careful only to let
my hair and forehead become visible
in the car's rearview mirror.

I don't know why my own reflection
scares me so, perhaps some dark deed
from a previous life. Or maybe it's just
that those angry slabs of painted glass
might mirror the imperfections in my soul.

I don't know... I liked it yet it felt a little ... Emo

I don't know how old you are but this gave me a teenagers angst.

Still good don't get me wrong. I'm just wondering... it felt like an adult writing like a teenager.

Somewhat forced yet still slipping through... if you know what I mean.

I'm not trying to put down at all.

Just fumbling through the words is all.

I thought at first that reflectophilia had something to do with patterns of thought compulsive neurosis, but

I Know how that feels, looking into the mirror, not recognizing your face
