solitude
for the sake of song
i whisper wrong
in my head
roll me over to
steal my gold
wordless pages of
stories untold
like the dead thrown
on the cart
bang the gong
solitude
for the sake of song

I like this...not sure what the poem references, but then that never really matters does it. If it manages to touch me on some level, which it did, then that's all that's necessary...so thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I am glad you liked this little poem. It is pretty abstract and I thought many times about making changes but can never bring myself to do it. It more or less is about what i put myself thru when i write poetry. I write in binges, and when im in one of my Poetry binges I totally lock myself off from everyone and the rest of my life suffers to some extent when i do this. so...thats pretty much it.
