all that’s left are memories
dancing in the amber flames
of cottage woods and children’s books
charred remains of puzzle pieces
that never fit with sharpened edges
causing so much pain
summer days with holidays
turned to rain and moody brooks
that swallowed up
teddy bears and goldilocks
now as the last log turns to ash
it’s plain to see frost was right “life
is too much like a pathless wood”.

I enjoyed this Very nice write.

So no more hiding all your pain, you deserve a new start. That's why i'm closing myself away, this is a message from your heart.
