Darkness engulfs me,
though I search for the light.

Battling good and evil,
from day to night.

The void spins so out of control,
clinging to a sparkle I once knew.

And the hole consumes me,
till my once sparkle is simply dust.

Days, weeks and years,
not sure where they have gone.

Consumed into darkness,
faded into the unknown.

Is there a shooting star,
that I may grasp?

Or am I condemned to the dark,
never to view the Heavens again.

I like the line about the shooting star. It's good how you used strong words that create strong feelings.

I can relate to this.
