well, first impressions are always the lasting impression.
so her first reception of me showed her there was no deception in me.
everyone talked and whispered about the situation,
all the while im prayin its not just recreation.
while hope lived off of little glances
i thought i stood at the foot of my best chances.
but glances dont cover up the long distance,
the only thing standin between me and these chances.

through face to face talk we both knew it was right.
because i always think about words spoke on that hurtful night.
we got deeper than deep into eachothers minds, leavin nothin behind,
but the passin of time. On a natural high.
hardly ever not lookin in one anothers eyes.
but i had to be wise, knew this freefall would begin my demise.

now look where we are, livin different lives,
but i still hope our eyes meet on the same moons brightest side.
but for now i have to live with the fact,
that no matter what, you're probly never comin back.
2 years later and it still strikes a nerve.but for my quickness to fall this i know i deserve.
for people that know me could tell she was my one,
til things came undone now i might have to throw the towel in on this one.

wow....

man why is it so hard to move on
when you thought youve lost the one now you think there's another one.
its not fair to the emotions that stir
after so long the night becomes a big blur.
as i sit here and feel alone, away from everyone
just a stone crashin in my own little zone.

why sit and gaze tryin to get through this psychological maze. im in a daze,
but hopefuly this is only a phase.

I spend time on ways to make it through the days,
yet find ways to remind me im stil looking through my dazed ways.

stay feelin guilty, overlooked and antagonized,
which makes me fumble up, clumsy and disorganized,
but otherwise, i would like to have completion as my compromise.

but i know that it wont be too soon,
cuz God's obviously got me waitin for that blue moon,
the moment of truth, when i finally change my whole life's tune.
