The World That Never Was

0 posted 2007-02-22 05:50 PM

Moonlight shines upon this place
Where naught and nothingness interlace
Where the twilight shards shine serene
Where brokenwinged angels try to fly towards dreams

Sans light, sans darkness, ever dusk and dawn
Time stands still, never moving on
Emptiness stretches out endlessly
This world is home for nobodies like me

With forlorn hope i'll sing my plea
From the hall of broken melodies
Betwixt and between, yet so close to the dark
I question this land, "Where is MY heart"?

My memories, my dreams, are faded and torn
By this barren land, this silent storm
I'll never escape from here it seems
Imprisoned forever.....in fragmented dreams

Yes, those voids are so tough. I liked how you presented this and stirred my imagination. Moonlight is a great place to discover inner self, or rest, or even despair. Great poem!

Welcome to Passions.

Excellent description and imagery here.  Could feel the barren landscapes of broken dreams.
