The beginning of the end has come swiftly, it seems.
All the symptoms are here so there’s only one left thing to do –
Resign the patient to death.
Her mind is in chaos
And her body is broken.
There’s not much more we can do for her.
Besides, she’d been digging her own grave from the start.
Ever since that crazy prophecy she made.
Huh, looks like it came true, only thrice as bad.
Poor thing.
Having to live with that knowledge
Then knowing that there was nothing she could’ve done
After the transitions had begun.
What a shame it is.
All of her attempts at recovery failed miserably.
Though she fought with all her might,
The bonds of this ailment were too strong.
So she got absolutely nowhere
But deeper into this mess.
And all of her efforts were in vain.
Though she tried to warn the people about her fate,
Her exclamations fell on deaf ears.
Either in disbelief or misunderstanding, they all shook their heads
And continued on their way thinking nothing of it.
What a surprise they will all be greeted with.
Go on, close the eyes of the corpse.
I can still see signs of her condition in her eyes.
Such a haunting sight that chills the soul.
Look at her.
It seems like she’s still calling for help.
She must’ve always looked like this.
It’s a wonder no one rescued her.
Well, fully at least.
Because every time she seemed to be making progress,
The illness within dragged her back under its influence.
I’m just glad it’s not contagious. What’s it called again?
It wasn’t a disease that any doctor had heard of so they merely called it
The Onyx Death.
