Daddy's dead
So he chose
Harsh criticism and judgement played its part
The city so complex and thick
I can't even think

I come back for this man's funeral
Seeing people I once knew
The girl can't seem to speak without babbling a lie
And the swords are still oh so sharp
Deadly cuts across the throat shut your mouth

The details are more important than I know
But I turn my other cheek
"I didn't see it."
This big truth more apparent than I know
Side-step to my land of play

That big building isn't so big anymore
Jesus is there
I seemed to have missed the point
Stand up and proclaim it so right where you sit
Stand up and give it some word

Don't try to understand this big pure truth
Just sit listen and learn
Confidence sit in place and just don't care
Let'em see, if they go blind, pray for their healing
Let'em see

Big arid building
Poor parking
Jesus loves me
Hear my song
Lets go home

When the chain that holds my wallet
So tight and snug is broken,
Do I find the truth,
That I really own nothin.
