CRUEL JOKE:

Always together when you are alone
Fate's cruel joke of icy water thrown
Everyone always loving and loved
But myself seeming always rejected and judged
By the being of me and the expression of mine
My life, my fate, always resigned

Hi sgreybe,

I really liked this poem! I'm not sure why no one has posted a reply on it yet, but I feel honored to be the first

"My life, my fate, always resigned"

This part^^ I feel like you captured the emotion/attitude just right, it FEELS resigned, not just saying it but actually getting the emotions across to the reader. I liked that about this poem, how it was able to show the emotions to the reader.

Thanks for sharing!

"I pray thee, O God, that I
may be beautiful within."
