I have traveled far to see you Pithia the seer
Go into your trance and tell me what you see
Make your answers to my questions crystal clear
Tell me something good please hear my plea.

You bathe in a steam to give you knowledge before you see me
Please tell me something good from your temple of Appollo
Nine days out of the year you tell people hoe it is going to be
If I ask you, you can tell me which way I should go.

All these people here just to get advice
This just shows me how accurate your predictions must be
From the looks of things, to see you people are willing to pay a high price
We all come to you hoping you will tell us something good, you see.

Whether I am seen or not depends on the movements of a goat
This ritual shall determine my fate
The priest determines what you say by what he wrote
He depicts what you say by writing it on a slate.

Tell me something good make my journey worth while
To the question I ask give me a good answer
You shall see us all if only for a little while
Tell me the things from which I should deter.
