I’m feelin just a little abused
and I’m a little confused
And I don’t know what to make
Of my life

Happiness comes easy
But sadness soon comes too
In my perplexity
I’m reaching out to…

The darkness
It’s null and void
The darkness
Is easy to fool
The darkness
Can’t see into my soul the way you seem to

My eyes are little windows
Provide sight into my heart
But maybe If I shut them
I could get a head start at…

Avoiding
what I should see
Avoiding
what really could be
Avoiding
What’s already there

I just don’t want it to be…

The darkness
That’s null and void
The darkness
That’s easy to fool
The darkness
That can’t see into my soul the way you seem to
