I once saw an ambassidor standing before
a building, holding aloft a sign proclaiming
God the mastermind behind 9/11.

And he was right, because everything that
goes wrong in the world is God's doing
and everything that goes right in the world
is a fluke of nature, an abomination, a mutation,
a choice selection made by an uncaring cosmos.

I was tempted to wave at the ambassidor
but when I saw his friend carrying a sign
proclaiming that God hates homosexuals,
I was unduly shamed

Nice poem

It is true that God is the beginning and the end of all things.
He is above all of us.
But i believe even God has some sense of humor.

I really enjoyed this piece. I think it was a good political and spiritual message, and dealt with some very interesting ideas. It was thought-provoking; and very well written.

Philmont, What does the title of the poem mean?  It sounds interesting.

Hey philmont,

Interesting write, I'm not sure I agree with your views on God, but to each their own...

I think you did an excellent job with setup, form, flow, wording, etc...

I especially liked the ending part about the homosexuals, it kind of made me laugh, no offence if that wasn't your idea behind the poem...

Yes, what DOES the title mean? I'd like to know also.

Thanks for sharing

Hello-I notice you have a distinctive style that uses enjambments...I admire that strength.

One thing about this poem, the last line..."unduly shamed". To fit, I wanted to hear "duly ashamed".

Other than that, the content was intimate, a little window to some thoughts, and a good read. Thanks.

ps, these gave...kritikisto? I'm unfamiliar with that word.
