Out on a plain, infinite horizon line,
I am a stick like figure walking to nowhere.

In the distance of this lost place, flashes of red,
Pulsate at the perimeter of vision.
lavender black, leeches into growing red pulses.

A high pitched sound begins to bite with shattering intensity.
Visceral in its monstrous attack.

Flesh is raked by sharp whips of silver gold
growing from tentacles blossoming from the lavender
darkness slithery and gurgling with evil intent.

I run to escape the sloshing hell
creeping across the white plain.

In relentless pursuit it's design is my end.
Snake like the tentacles slap near me,
Repugnant smells of decay and rot
Consuming the air around.

Thousand of hard, cold, red and green eyes peer
Through the tip of a giant being
bursting through the plain.
An umbrella of ghastly sight.

It's mouth a cave of needle teeth dripping with poison,
A plate of spaghetti gone rabid
In the festering night.

I scream in terror,
hope this b movie will be over soon.
Pass the popcorn please.

LOL! Wow... Not what i was expecting for the ending. Very neat ending though, it's unique. I thought you'd have something like "i died, etc" but no, your ending was awesome!

I loved how you described "yourself" as a stick like figure, I thought that was kind of cool...

"A high pitched sound begins to bite with shattering intensity.
Visceral in its monstrous attack."

My favorite part, it's because of the way you described the noise I think. It's interesting to read. I like the descriptiveness of the poem.

Great job on this, I can't wait to read more by you

That was really cool.  It sounds like some of the stuff I've written at some point in the past.
