A wicker chair and a lantern light,
Stacked dry hay on my roof,
Swaying back and forth, the fire,
From the lamp speaks volumes…

In a bit my quiet night will see,
In a bit my thoughts shall face,
In a bit I won’t be sitting here like this,
In a bit, a bit of time will seem so long…

The darkened soot from a stove low,
The cinders settle upon me from dying sparks,
My eyes red shall start their condolences,
For my torn garments this winter's night…

And from above I shall see the falling hands,
That shall shatter my poise and relegate me,
Who shall face if I should retract this way?
So I muster my will from my prayers to Him…

Make me break those rules mighty one,
Prove your stories true and I will live,
To tell a million people, for a million years,
Unmask the lack of belief in my eyes.

Yeah, I've written like this before.  It was called 'Death Cut and Quiet."  Sometimes you can freak yourself out...

God bless,

... and they float too...
as will I to Heaven once I die...
