The Eye of the Storm

Life to me
was once a dream
afloat on a river
under the boondock of love

But now I've awaken
to the sirens of reality
my bubbly dreams
crashed into a blackhole

The wind in my sails
that was once at full mast
is ripped down the middle
so it can't catch its' breath

My heart's riveting beat
is slower then existence itself
as I limp along
this path called my life

The depths of my soul
are under seige
so far as the pit
of my lonely,cracked heart

But now  I am back here
picking up the pieces
of my so called life
that had shred to it's core

So still in the eye
of the storm of life
I fight for the love
of myself and my friends

i liked this...

sorta gives a sense of hope even in the face of tough adversities...

"that which does not kill you can only make you stronger.."
