my own annihilation -
defeated.
So - i must wait.
Afterall, they do say that patience is a virtue...

But death is a sluggish thing...
that consumes all hope and happiness.
Hollow, except for a merciless greed.
A miscible combination of pain
and gain.
A helpless wreck of lies
and truths.

Knowing all of this, I knew what was to be...
But still – I tried.
And now I’m paying with my final life,
yet I feel, like an immortal.

So,
I sit and begin my wait in a chilling warm.
While outside, the songbirds sing their elegies -

Far too soon.

I cant help but think it could be twisted into a poem about failed suicide...and just giving up on that aswell...but I have to admit the overall tone is pretty depressing...I like the part about the birds in the end, cool contrast standing up next to the message of the poem.
