Distant

I feel as if not completely there
If I’m even there at all
Sometimes I can’t tell the difference
It really is hard to tell

Feeling out of the loop
When I’m in the middle of it
Detached from something
That’s completely of me

An odd feeling indeed
Being both in and out
Simultaneously
Never knowing the difference
Not caring much either

Feeling hopelessly out of reach
And wanting to be reached out to
Reaching out for a hand
That may or may not be reaching back
Completely shut out

Not isolated
Just distant

i think this poem is very well-written and it conveys emotion's such confusion and desperation very well... and the last two lines were quite heartfelt and sad...
a very good read
