O.K. so this is the first thing I have posted in a while, and by a while I mean the last thing I posted was in 2004!  I was with someone that drained my creative juices, but now their back!  To all you I already know looking forward to reading all your writings again.

Soon

In the house where we made memories
the late nights and green walls
never to ease my mind.
in the bed where we slept, forever
stained by your scent.
the couch where we sat up late nights,
the brown suede couch, where we held
each other now imbedded with your figure.
Now your lips are embedded in another’s,
and now my knees are week for another.

I don’t ever need you to yell at me,
the temperature will rise ninety eight degrees.

The selfish silliness you acted with
just proved what I knew all along,
but never wanted to believe.
I saw the good in you, now I
see the real that you tried to hide.
You can wake me, when I get there,
because I don’t care, if I see the daylight.
And I got there, with no help from you,
my knees are weak and my body needs
to be close to her, sometime soon.

Will this ever be more than just your need
to make me feel like I am a disease.

Awake through motion with curiosity to curtain your first move
Over arms length they'll break protocol
Jealous envy for the youngest one

I think that it's funny how you disappeared and then came back--and I don't post anymore, but I happened to be archiving and saw that you posted...

About the write-we always seem to be on the same page in life.  I'm sorry about your relationship, but I am glad that it brought your creativity back, and I hope that you will be happier without her.  I can completely picture her impression in the couch and smell her scent on your bed...  Awesome write, Matt.
