THE LINK

Choice is freely given
Yet never accepted
Like sheep we follow
The hopeless lie
Yet we are driven
To find a cause a place
In this desolate angry hatred
Of a world
Our beautiful gilded earth
Masks an ugly fetid face
Of lies and deceit
And so we are left to live
Behind our masks
In our sadistic stage of life
Left with nothing but a heartbeat
And all that is left to give
Has been lost
Here we stand on the brink
The choice is there
Right before us
The loss of the hatred at our own cost
All we need is a link.

*gasps* holy... this is awsome. i love it. this has got to be one of the best pieces ive ever read. gosh lol, this was really good. ima look around for some more of your poetry. keep it up, peace
