It is my wish to die in my sleep.
As the torture of nothingness haunts me..

The night frightens me,
I curled up and pray,

Oh Lord, take me, for I am frail.
The day tires me and the night frightens me.

What is there to look forward?
Except for the day of release,
from the jail of sufferings.

My mind calls out to me.
"Look around, family and friends embrace.
Be glad, content and gay."

I try but I fail.
My heart doesn't feel.

My mood surfs on the angry waves.
Up and down so much that I want to suffocate.

I long for a quiet sleep....
forever,
How blessed indeed.
