Every night I close my eyes
I think of him by my side
His eyes are soft, his heart is sweet, and he loves me
But as I lie there thinking of him I feel something sharp go through my skin
Something cold, something dark, something that I fear at night
As I lie here in this pain
I think of him and scream his name
But as my eyes, open I see his face
And wonder why he did this thing
His eyes have gone hard, his heart has got sour, and he love me is no longer
I lay in my bed as my head starts to go light
And I sit there just wondering why
Why did he do this, why did he lie, for now it’s my life that’s on the line
But as I lie there in my bed my thoughts start to drift, my heart slows down, and my breath starts to shorten
And my last words were, Why

"I am the one who has to die when it's my time to die, so I'm gonna live life the way I wanna"- Jimi Hendrix

first of all welcome, secondly I enjoyed your poem very much. It's kind of like my own poem What IS It? in the sense that it continues throughout to ask a question. I hope to see more of your work real soon.

Welcome to pip.  Jesus loves you (they don't like me to say that...).  You're poem was sad, but I like it because it sounds like something real.  It sounds like the other only knows aeros-love.  Which means it was never very important in the first place and you haven't lost anything.  So be happy about it!

ska babe , why is a good question that you may never know the answer to ... somethings are best when left alone ....when you carry around the past it can weigh you down , look to the future i am sure it will be brighter
great poem , keep the pen moving lol

It's always nice to know when you meet another person that feels the same way.
