Corridors of my emotion stand
I crave epiphany,
I was mum but I'm talking now
I looked at honesty.

I see the first door and I'm stressed
But I cringe not as you've seen.
And in my breath ask grace
There are no frown lines, I've wiped them clean.

In corridors a vulture sits
This time fear is revealed,
And with my trusty dagger cut
Through strands and do not bleed.

And through the dual entrusting made
I've not been sundered still.
And she has crossed at her own pace
I'm shaken but not spilled.

Through corridors this one last time
I just weigh and inspect.
And know he comes to peer at you
But leaves now with respect.

All the rooms they were no ball
And so through pain I ask why
And I discover woe after all
I have no mask, I'm only shy.

i really enjoyed the scheme of this poem. it's sad that no one has replied to it sooner. perhaps now they will.

Well, thank you...I'm glad it wasn't too lousy. I can always get a better feel of how good my own poem is (or isn't) with the suggestions and responses.
