let's stay together tonight,
even if only for but a brief moment
with my eyes held closed,
praying not a sound to neither pierce nor destroy the dream.
we could remove the veil
of what went wrongs and see the face
of all is well,
thinking no longer on where did the feeling go.
you could run your fingers through my hair,
as our eyes taunt each other with giddish glimpses
of our souls tickling one another with affection
once more.
then i could tell you you're beautiful.

of all the things we try to find... it's only love we keep.

God, I love how you made this whole poem into a wish we all can relate to, but suddenly, and without warning, turned it into a gift of the unrequited with the last line that only you could just throw in there and make the whole poem overwhelmingly special. This was fantastic, dude!

Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere

Yeah, where do feelings like that go? And why do they have to rest silently under 144 square feet of dirt? Is a beautiful poem though.
