A blatant title will bring 'em in every time;
But not the 'em that need to read about themselves.
Such is the preaching-to-the-choir perplexity
Of us poets. (Or is it "we"?)

For you see, as I sit here viewing the myriad
Of two dimensional people on the walls of my room,
Not a one of them will ever know this train of thought.
Nor would they care.

Yet you, those I admire, felt compelled to see
Why I was cursing.
I hope I didn't raise any defenses;
'Cause if I did, it was from the wrong ones.

Maybe if we poets (or is it "us"?) could be as quantum physicists,
Where even numbers and letters can prove the existence of God,
We could turn the pictures of those we want
Into the real thing.

Maybe we could bond all of our validations of each other
Into a force that would finally penetrate
Those our words are actually for.

Until then, I'll just meander about my room
And stare at each picture one by one... and say
"Curse you all!"

Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere

Cursing people isn't very nice. I'm sick, does it roll with bearing curses, or is your watch just broken? Once you get that fixed I'm sure you'll silence your curses as you happily announce what time it is. By the way what time is it?
