The boy sits in his chair, watching.
With expectant, eyes surveying the crowd
Faces all around, solemn and drawn
Pretty faces, with big sad eyes like saucers
Wet cheeks, but he doesn’t know why
Still he waits as the dirge plays on
Wondering where his father has gone



Neither night nor day can give me purchase only purged dust on earth can avenge the worthless.

thats intense. I could feel myself there. Sort of hiding behind the brushes though.
