The point of no return

It's waking up,
and not knowing why you get up in the morning.
When you never really get up at all.
When you're afraid to go walking,
afraid that somewhere along the way
you'll find yourself face-down in the local inlet.
Drowned in sixteen inches.
All because you were enjoying the scenery.
When you've got that coppery taste in your mouth,
and no amount of flouride
or formaldehyde
can wash it away.
When your smile is when people know something is wrong,
and when you no longer notice
the tears streaming down your face.

this is beautiful, so simple and yet as complex as depression itself.... depression is also when you no longer care if you live or die...... keep the writing coming
