Stay up all night
Bruised looking rings under my eyes,
Waste my time on
Carving a sign of hurt in my arm,
Haunting friendships
Lead me astray, and all,
For nothing.

Am I second best?
To all the high class players
In this game of gentle slaughter,

Thought I was something else
Stuck on the “Almost” shelf.

Fall asleep quickly
With closed eyes, I’m down and you kick me,
Fill my day up
Carving a sign of hurt in my arm,
Beautiful friendships
Lead me astray, from the pain,
And all,
For nothing.

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had. - Gary Jules, Mad World.

For some reason at the bottom I got the feeling of olive oil from this one.  I'm not sure why, but doesn't the almost shelf stink?  Just that little bit of garbage in the way, maybe some kind of cleaner would do some good.  I can "almost" smell bleach.  lol.  This one was really cool.

Yes, I relate all too well to the "second best" syndrome, and the "Almost" shelf.

Extremely relatable, emotional write. Well done, Hollow~!

Brutally true to human nature. I do hate being kicked when I'm down. Ouch!!!
