Surrounded by faces
Surrounded by smiles
And reminders of who I used to be

Looking through a crowd
Of happy laughing people
All wrapped up in their snug little lives

The people turn and look
Seeing my exterior
But never bothering to see who hides beneath

I love these people with all my heart
And they love themselves
With all their heart

Searching for someone who never existed
Someone who appreciated me being me
But I know in the end perfect is impossible

I sit with these dolls
Laughing and gossiping
Submitting myself to their torture

I play with these dolls
Dressing them and doing their hair
So I have them exactly how I want

But then I look inside them
To see if their heart holds a place for me
And I am rudely awakened

I sit with these dolls
And Wonder
Is it me who is the wierd one
Or do I just not fit in?

(Thanks to all those who helped me write this... CKVR, KJE, LWD, and hopefully AVT will read this... thank you with all my heart you guys. you rock my world)

I can see you tooo!!!!!!
No your not the only weird one! Look at me, girl! I'm crazy. Sarah says I'm stupid, grrr. Scott agrees. Like chocolates, the best part is in the middle, so eat your outershell away, and we get to see the gooey caramel. This is making Sarah hungry, haha.
Good poem, don't leave such long pauses between your posting, I always love reading these!
Too much punctuation, ah well. Talk to you, like in a few mins.

"Searching for someone who never existed

Though impossible, it is never fruitless to strive for an ideal.

I appreciate you writing from the heart and soul of you.

Thanks,

This piece reminded me of my piece,Death of a Love so Strong. Thank you very much. I reposted it for you. Great piece and nice help for everyone that helped.

I would like to keep this piece if it's alright.

Love,

I missed this one, but i was scrolling back down through the list, and @##$&#%(^$&()(@^&*$ omg SOPH, that was so freakin' amazing... ...*sigh* i loved it so much. I'm going to be quiet now, so as to not ruin the brilliance of the poem.

And they love themselves
