The point of no return

Wanting and waiting,
something, anything.
A spark is all I ask.

But my mind is spinning,
just too fast.
I can't let go to pick up a pen.

It slows,
but I'm too dizzy to see the page.
It stops,
but I can't seem to move.
So I sit and take a breath,
and then it starts again.

"World's use is cold, world's love is vain, world's cruelty is bitter bane; but is not the fruit of pain." Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Yeah, writers block is really crappy when it isn't just you're writting, but your entire life rather.  And that is exactly what it is like.

I was on a roll for a few days, that was when "Voices" and "Worthless Girl" were penned, I'm afraid to try again, because I know it won't be as good, since my feelings seem repetative and the block is back. Good poem!

Oh I know, I have a habit of throwing all my recent writes away because I wrote one, and it was my masterpiece, and I feel like all I do after is so pointless because I'll never do as well again, but at the age of fifteen I hope this is just teen angst speaking.  See, this poem wasn't actually about writers block in the "I can't write anything" sense.  I always use the phrase "Artists' bane" because my poetry tends to be dark (even if lately I'm leaning toward that angst whiny thing) and I can never seem to accurately describe a situation or emotion unless I've lived it, and to do that with dark poetry obviously there has to be dark moments, so I have to live in a little bit of misery for a little while to get the best stuff.  Not that my life is bad, mind you, but that's when I write my best pieces. And there are times when things get overwhelming and I can't seem to make myself function at all, like I'm sleep walking, and that's when my life tends to go to hell as it were.  That's what I was trying to spell out.  Whether it worked or not is up to debate, I think this one was just too forced.
