Pale Moon

Pale moon daunts
as it only "half shines" tonight.
Its bottom tip not curving enough
To contain the pain of all I've learned

What light it even taunts me with
is failed by dark clouds whisping away
on the dance floor that is the sky between
that daunty moon and me

You'd think maybe it'd tip,
that pale moon, just once
at that one moment the clouds dart away,
and at least soak me with whats left

Then I could "half shiver" in return.

"So give life to your dreams, for there lies your survival, and cast your heart beyond those faded scenes, and I'll bring you through the storm"

nothing to say; it blew me away.

i agree with the others. wish i had written this, 'cause i've sat there in the cold of night and cursed that pale moon. good job, news!

This was great!

Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere
