A long time ago, there she stood
Emotions hidden for a purpose
Weeping gentle sorrow
She drew the line

Caught in ensuing mayhem
She could only wonder
What choice do we have
There was none to be had

Time has passed and so she speaks
A new found love so she thought
The candle is burnt now
So are we

Scars will run deep no matter what
Hope of curing, never in the plot
Her mind is full of mistrust and hate
Nothing I say will ever change the past

A new beginning for the both of us
Fire on that trail will never ease
All is done now without purpose
A smile in the night sealed my fate

Funny, it was not her smile.  Just something that was said to me.  Thanks for reading.  Steve.
