Nothing and Nowhere

0 posted 2004-11-14 12:02 PM

Everything's wrong, nothing's right.
If right exists, I've tried it and failed
I wish for my light bulb
Each and every day
But I never get a break
stuck in a permanent powercut.
Swallowed by a wave of worthlessness
Struck dumb by my lack of creativity
Pray for a talent, but do not receive
Crying never helps, only increases the pain.

Whoever said that everyone has a talent
is a liar, a deceiver.

Whoever said that everyone is special
is a liar, a deceiver.

Whoever said that everyone is beautiful
is a liar, a deceiver.

Did they not realise all it took
was me...
To destroy their idea.

Hey that whole thing was an oxymoron! Did you realize this?? For in writing it, you caused it to prove what it says to be disproved...

How cool is that?

I feel like this too. No talent I mean. If I do anything, they are like, "No Courtney" or if I try, they constantly critiscise till I'm mute and numb and close to getting a peptic ulcer. Then they ask what's wrong. But, don't you realise? THIS IS YOUR TALENT Mine too I hope, don't ruin my slef-esteem and tell me it's not. I don't think anything could save me then. THIS IS YOUR TALENT!

Thats the cool thing about poetry.  When you write it you're like "ahh, this sux."  Then when you learn to look at it from a third person point of view sometimes you look and go, "wow, I wrote that? I don't even remember it." lol.  Its like how many times can you stab the ground before you realise you have a hole?  Nice write. and I meant that.

Now I'm starting to see what EG, News and Green mean about the poetic merits of the responses to these great poems! "How many times do you have to stab the ground before you realize you have a hole?"...
That was great!

and this is what makes vampiana a staplepoint for being one of the greats in passions in poetry. whether this is first person, or third person omnicient, it is an incredible work of art. if she can get the he into the art of her life...then her life will be as HEartful as her poems.
i'm loving it... you're an inspitation to me, vampiana. it's all good. time will show.

i'll always need a friend, one i can defend.
