Lovely morning in November,
I pause upon a hill,
Looking at this world,
and seeking not a thrill.
I've lived behind shutters,
& now on tabletops;
I've set out on my journey
and this excitement shall not stop.

A candle that burns continuous
throughout the day and night
Living my walk of freedom
I have the edge in sight.
A world outside my parents
I'm no longer under their wing
I shall finally find my own world
the one that makes me sing.

No more living a lame life
I've felt the beatnik vibes,
Finally living life myself
& yet never taking bribes.
I'm an artistic musician
who has fallen perfectly in place
& unlike the vast majority
I say, I've escaped the rat race.

Wow, this was good. And very appropriately relative to a certain friend I know starting out on a journey of his own.
Glad to hear you've escaped that race of rats, News!

And the way you escape the rat race is you face the facts that you don't need a car, or house, or credit cards, or even new clothes to live.  Just the basics, food and water.  Yeah this one is pretty much what my life is right now, and the belated thing.  I'm going to have to keep a copy of this one.
thank you.
